Seven Stages Of Falling In Love With Someone

Posted by Unknown

Hey, you beautiful person.

Hope you’re doing well.

We all think that falling in love will feel like that whirlwind which will take us on the roller-coaster ride of our lives.

Those fluttery feelings, those butterflies in your stomach when you see someone special, the craving to meet each other at midnight, are all symptoms that Cupid’s arrow has hit its mark and you’ve fallen in love.

And if there’s one thing that all these symptoms make pretty clear it’s that love is actually a very twisted concept, for it doesn’t give you the time to analyze and introspect. It just happens, and before you know it, you have already fallen head over heels in love with this new, crazy and beautiful soul who has made your life A LOT BRIGHTER.

So, for all you mush pots out there who think that they have started more than just ‘liking’ someone, here is a list of seven stages one goes through, while falling in love:

1. Physical attraction.

There is no denying the fact that the first stage of falling in love is the infatuation you feel towards the other person. It’s this attraction that ignites that initial spark which later manifests into some great chemistry between you two.

Whether it’s her long sexy legs and captivating eyes or his killer height, wide shoulders or No Shave November look, we shallow beings can agree that, initially, good looks do make our eyes drool.

2. The ‘me too’ stage.

Someone has rightly said, there is nothing more erotic than a good conversation.

This is the second stage of falling in love. When you find yourself in sync on different levels, it’s more likely that you end up talking to them a little more than you would with a normal person. After all, intimacy of the mind is rare and difficult to find.

3. The Exploring Phase.

In this internet age, one's life is dominated by interactive social media websites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and taking utmost advantages of this, you find yourself checking him or her out on every possible platform.

This is mostly done in order to run a background check, to find out who their friends are, to see if you both have any mutual friends, to find out where they work, who their closest pals are, etc. This can also be briefly summed up as the ‘Exploring Phase'.

I'm glorifying stalking here. I know. But everything is fair in love.

4. Affection.

It’s only human to develop a sense of care and affection for this beautiful soul who just entered your world and made your life a little sunnier and warmer.

Good news, bad news or no news - you want to share it all. After all, their special occasions are your special days too now.

5. The Butterfly Effect.

The way your heart flutters when he/she holds your hand on busy streets, the way he/she brushes the hair from your eyes, how he/she doesn't get tired of your non-stop blabbering, those stolen kisses, the interlocked fingers, random texts that make your day a little brighter and your smile a little wider.

6. The Sun in your Rainbow.

Remember the times when you failed a test or had a fight with your best friend? They were the ones you turned to.

No one knows how to pep you up better than him/her and so all you lovelies out there, if he/she cares for you, checks on you often, sticks with you during the bad days and makes you smile a little wider, he/she is the one.

7. Seal the Deal.

Yes! You read that right. He/she is the one you have been waiting for, the kind of love that all those Yash Raj movies talk about. Hold on to that twisted amazing person sweetheart, for he/she is the one who makes your heart hiccup and miss a beat at the same time.
